Aime launched Ninja HR as a trading name of Armillan Ltd to help employers thrive by supporting their staff. When the Kickstart Scheme was launched, becoming a Kickstart Gateway felt like the perfect opportunity to utilise her knowledge of the public sector gained through 20 years managing HR teams and departments in the NHS and Local Government with her passion for helping employers flourish, all whilst creating work placements for young people struggling to get work.

Aime takes a pragmatic approach to all things, and mixes a friendly informal style with deep industry knowledge and experience (she has undergraduate degrees in both law and psychology and an MA in HR, she has also taught HR at a PostGraduate Level, run the HR department in a Local Authority and had the roles of both Head of HR Shared Services and Head of Learning and Development across the NHS in Leicestershire). She is a Mum of two, who likes Sci-Fi and Lego.

Clare McCabe is a graphic designer with over 30 years of experience in designing everything from winning websites to striking branding. She’s been a business owner for nearly 20 years working with businesses of all sizes, from sole traders to blue chip clients.

She’s been teaching people to use Canva for several years. That includes the business owners who need a DIY option or corporations who want to take good care of the branding Clare has already created for them. Also an independent publisher, designing and publishing for authors to sell on Amazon.

Milly Harding

Milly has been helping ambitious, high-growth SMEs meet their legal and moral responsibilities while scaling (and getting the best out of) their teams – and businesses – for almost a decade. Her career has seen her support clients ranging from entrepreneurial tech start-ups, to well established businesses in a variety of industries.

What we like about Milly is that she only believes that rules, policies and processes should only be there if there’s a reason for them. She brings her full, quirky self to work every day, and finds that being real – being human – is the best way of building meaningful relationships with the teams she works with.

Kelly has an amazing knack of creating processes and systems that run smoothly even from a garbled idea. Adept at social media, Quickbooks and highly organised, she has supported Ninja HR right from the beginning.

It would not have been possible to become a Kickstart Gateway without her skills, support and commitment and we are fabulously pleased that she has stepped up to this new role to ensure that Gateway customers are supported from initial contact to the completion of the 6 month work placement.

Alexandra Burn

Alexandra Burn is an independent business coach, with a special interest in outdoor coaching, HR Project Manager and L&D specialist. Her focus when working in-house in Global Organisations, such as Samsung and Siemens, was Talent Management and Leadership Development.

Alex’s passion for both coaching and for all things nature related led to her recent research into the impact of outdoor coaching on coaching outcomes as part of an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley Business School. She has also co-written a chapter in “The Coaches Handbook” on this research and other practical aspects of eco-coaching. She recently moved to the Highlands of Scotland to expand her outdoor coaching approach, to set up a small alpaca and donkey rescue farm with her husband and two dogs, and to bag some Monroes.

A qualified teacher, youth mentor and personal development coach, Alex’s career is dedicated to supporting individuals and groups to learn the skills to create the life and career of their own choosing. Her passion and drive is working within personal development, supporting other people in achieving their goals. In helping others to stand together, to create the world we want to see.

Alex has combined her experiences of teaching, mentoring and coaching to develop programmes for individuals and groups, bringing life coaching skills to empower individuals to develop a deep sense of personal understanding and the confidence to take action in their own lives and in starting their own careers. Living in North Yorkshire, with her three children and labradoodle, Lola, Alex loves walking in nature, exploring the Lake District and is a self-professed book addict.
